June 17, 2020 Webinar on Quantifying the Benefits of Buffers

Creating vegetated buffers along rivers and bays is a widely recognized strategy to protect water quality and provide other ecosystem services. In New England, however, there was no accepted practice for quantifying the success of this approach, which in turn limited the credits that could be obtained during the regulatory permitting process. Fortunately, progress has been made. On June 17, 2020, listen to the Credit for Going Green project team discuss the technical findings and lessons learned that other entities could also apply. This webinar is hosted by the National Estuarine Research Reserve System Science Collaborative.
