This report provides a study of lidar data collected in several marshes in the Charleston, South Carolina, area and shows that ground elevations in the marsh land-cover category can be positively biased. The data, however, can be improved by reducing the bias using various techniques to generate improved digital elevation models for marsh-specific applications.
