NOAA's Office for Coastal Management (OCM) Data Access Viewer (DAV)
The Data Access Viewer (DAV) allows a user to search for and download elevation, imagery, and land cover data for the coastal U.S. and its territories. The data, hosted by the NOAA Office for Coastal Management, can be customized and requested for free download through a checkout interface. An email provides a link to the customized data, while the original data set is available through a link within the viewer.

The images were acquired at a 1:30,000 scale. Images have been ortho-rectified and mosaiced to produce a seamless data set.
This imagery was orthorectified by Aero-metric to conform to the specifications set forth by NOAA for production of orthophotos in Contract Number DG133C06CO0055, Task Order Number T0007. Ortho-rectified mosaic tiles are not intended for mapping, charting or navigation.

Orthoimages are visually inspected for completeness to ensure that no gaps or image misplacements exist within and between adjacent images. These images are derived by mosaicking multiple images to ensure complete coverage. Source imagery is cloud free.

Horizontal Positional Accuracy
The horizontal accuracy of the orthorectified images is mainly determined by the quality of the DEM. The elevation data was from the USGS National Elevation Data dataset. Ground control points were measured in the ortho images and recorded in a spreadsheet which calculated the RMSE and NSSDA reporting accuracy.; Quantitative Value: 0.95 meters, Test that produced the value: These data are accurate to within 0.95 meters with a 95% circular error confidence level.

Cloud Cover: Unknown
Completeness Report
The source imagery of the ortho-rectified mosaic tiles are acquired at a higher resolution images than the 1.0 meter ortho-rectified mosaic tiles product. The extent of image coverage is limited to the acquired flight lines which were planned to to map the shoreline and therefore may not include all areas within the bounding coordinates.
Conceptual Consistency
The ortho-rectified tiles are visually inspected for image quality and spot check for gross horizontal positional accuracy blunders with USGS Digital Orthophoto Quadrangles.
The digital images were aerotriangulated to support digital ortho image production for the Potomac River Shoreline project area. The project was referenced to the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD83), UTM Coordinate System, Zone 18 horizontally and to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88) vertically. Units were in meters. The digital images, ABGPS data, and ground check point data were used as inputs to the Zeiss/Intergraph ImageStation Automatic Triangulation (ISAT) softcopy program. ISAT correlated image points and aerotriangulated the block of images to create exposure station exterior orientations. All ground points were manually measured on the imagery. These points were included in the aerotriangulation adjustments for absolute ground location verification. The scale of the aerial photos was 1:30,000. The photography was exposed on 20080903, 20080915, 20081031, 20090221, and 20090224. Rectification was done using the aerotriangulation data, raw DMC images, and 10 meter NED data. These rectified images were used to draw seamlines. The images were then dodged. The dodged rectified images were mosaicked, balanced, and cut into final image sheets. The final sheets were viewed and artifacts were removed as well as other edits performed.
