Restoring Post-Industrial Coastal Habitat in Portsmouth, Rhode Island

This award funds the development of final restoration designs for more than 94 acres of scrub-shrub swamp, estuarine wetlands, and marine shoreline in the Narragansett Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. The project will improve water quality, reduce stormwater runoff, buffer against storm surge, and provide habitat for wildlife.
