Restoration of the Dune/Wetland Complex at the Tijuana River Estuary

This award funds the restoration of 50 acres of tidal wetland habitat in the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve in order to reverse degradation, preserve resources, engage communities, and help ensure ecosystem and infrastructure durability. The project will also support the nearby Naval Base Coronado’s natural resources management to ensure mission sustainment.
