Restoration and Access Improvements in Bluff Point State Park

Recipient: University of Connecticut

Federal Funding: $2,871,588

This award funds the restoration of three high-value marshes within the Connecticut National Estuarine Research Reserve to enhance critical habitat and ensure access to Bluff Point State Park for visitors, staff, and emergency services. The project will reroute an emergency access road to allow emergency and maintenance vehicles entry to the interior portions of the property, resulting in safer community access.
