Deal/Triangle Property Conservation Acquisition
Recipient: Oregon Department of State Lands
Federal Funding: $1,108,130
This award funds the acquisition of at least 100 acres that will be incorporated into the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve. The project will protect the last significant area of wetlands in the South Slough watershed. The storage capacity of these wetlands will aid in reducing downstream flooding in the port and in industrial and residential areas of Charleston, Oregon.
