Squamscott Fields – Salt Marsh Conservation Project

Recipient: Town of Stratham

Federal Funding: $2,100,000

This award funds the acquisition of a permanent easement to protect more than 89 acres of ecologically significant habitat. The Town of Stratham, New Hampshire, will partner with the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve to provide critical flood protection, pollutant reduction, and water supply benefits for both the human and natural communities of Great Bay.
