The Margaret A. Davidson Award for Excellence in Climate Change Adaptation

Margaret A. Davidson was a passionate, visionary leader with an uncanny ability to see trends 10 to 20 years into the future. She was one of the first leaders in the federal government to draw a continued focus on climate change and the impacts it would have on coastal communities. For these reasons and more, the Association of State Floodplain Managers has created the Margaret A. Davidson Award for Excellence in Climate Change Adaptation. This award will be given to people who have influence on floodplain management and work to address complex environmental challenges including impacts from climate change.
