Esri, the world's leader in GIS technology, presents awards of special achievement annually. The team that developed the federal flood standard support tool was honored with one of these prestigious awards. With this GIS screening tool, users can determine if federally funded projects are located within the Federal Floodplain Management Standard floodplain. The project team included people from Esri, NOAA, FEMA, and the Executive Office of the President.
