Webinar 4: Dune Restoration in the Islands
April 29, 2026
This webinar showcases innovative strategies and methods for rehabilitating dune ecosystems and strengthening coastal resilience. The first effort features Hawai‘i Sea Grant’s core strategies, including managing pedestrian traffic and planting native vegetation. The second features efforts at Vida Marina at the University of Puerto Rico using biomimicry matrices to trap sand and restore critically eroded coastlines to strengthen habitat and community resilience.
